Design is a process so let’s start at the very beginning.

I love to talk about design, and getting to know you, or your team and the project will help me understand what’s required.  Each project is unique so the best way to start is to give me a call or drop me an email and I can talk you through what services I can offer to help bring you project to life.

Home extensions and renovations are some of the biggest financial outlays we make in our lives and the process can be quite emotional. My role on these projects is to be your ally. My experience can help you to get exactly what you want out of your project. I create a vision by spending time getting to know you and your requirements before designing the space in 2D and then 3D so it’s possible to see what a space will look like before committing to any work. I can help you understand the full costs of a project before it starts. By solving problems creatively, I will save you money over the course of the build.

Services

you may need all or just some of them

  • Site survey. I work from a CAD floor plan which I can either arrange to get drawn up for you or I can work from an existing plan.

Initial discussion and brief generation . This is where we talk through your thoughts and ideas and what you would like to try and capture in this project.

Proposed Interior layouts. Several quick plan options showing different ideas on how the current space could be optimised.

  • Once we’ve generated some layout options it’s important to check whether the ideas are cost effective. Anything is possible but a budget will usually impact how far the design may stretch. I can help point you in the right direction when it comes to costing up a project.

  • More detailed interior plans.

3D wireframe model of the proposed space which will allow you to effectively walk through the space and is vital for me to be able to design the space in more detail.

Discussion and brief generation for the aesthetics .

3D visuals with mood board and concept for the interior finishes.

  • Arrange and liaise with a structural engineer, building control, contractors etc.

Produce M&E (mechanical and electrical) drawings for positions for services including lights, switches, power and IT. Add on the details for drainage and heating after discussions with these contractors.

Draw up interior elevation and produce joinery drawings for any carpentry elements.

Create full specification for interior finishes, furniture and equipment required.

Produce cost schedule for all fittings and finishes.
